Hogwarts started doing a student exchange program between the houses. Once a year, four unfortunate students would be selected and then placed in one of the other three houses for two weeks to “experience new things and better understand your fellow students.” Seriously, imagine how much fun we can have with this headcanon.
“Why is it always so dark in your guys’ dorms all the time? And p-please get that snake away from me.”
“Do Gryffindors have to be so loud ALL THE TIME? I’m trying to study!”
“I mean I sneeze and I get bombarded with two dozen ‘bless you’s! And if one more person tries to give me another passionate hug or asks me if there’s anything I want to talk about, I’m going to hex someone!”
“I DON’T KNOW WHERE VANISHED OBJECTS GO, I JUST WANT INTO MY BLOODY ROOM!”

HAHAHA

best part, you could tell which houses the person came from and which house they were talking to.

#can we just stop and appreciate Harry’s face in this scene? #I mean, he’s literally waiting for someone to say something about Hermione’s blood status #she’s the only Muggleborn in the slug club full of purebloods and well known people #and Harry’s there just like “say something I dare you” #and if you look at her face, you can see the actual hesitation and somewhat fear of what will happen next after telling of her parents occupation #Harry truly is acting like Hermione’s big brother, which I absolutely love #i just adore this scene

I love that Neville looks genuinely interested in what hermione’s talking about.

Harry: I wish a motherfucka would talk shit right now
Say something, make my day
Das right

Nevile looks like he’s just made a private mental note in flaming red ink: WHATEVER THE HELL A DENTIST IS, DON’T MESS WITH ONE.

The Sun is better than artThis incredible image was produced using data from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) taken on January 17, 2003. This is the sun photographed as it was building towards a major eruption.SDO carries imaging instruments that photograph different wavelengths of light released from the sun. If you remember your physics, there is a relationship between the wavelength of light, the frequency of the light, and the energy of the light, so SDO images basically reflect the temperature of the sun.The colors in this shot are 3 different wavelengths of light. Temperature across the sun’s surface and in its corona varies as gases are moved around by convection and by the sun’s powerful magnetic field. Images like this are both gorgeous and help scientists understand the forces churning beneath the surface of the body at the heart of the solar system.-JBBImage credit: NASA Goddard/SDO

This is amazing but calling it “better than art” assumes that art and science are mutually exclusive, which they aren’t.
